The mission of the special session is to bring together researchers and engineers from software and electronics, interested in studying and using algorithms, methods and models of multimodal and human computer interfaces addressing biological requirements including new intelligent interfaces of devices, sensors, biosystems, biorobotics.

This special session is part of the International Conference on Biomedical Electronics and Devices (BIODEVICES - http://www.biodevices.biostec.org/), to be held in Barcelona, Spain on February 11 - 14, 2013. It will be sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC), in cooperation with the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), technically co-sponsored by the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and in collaboration with the Universitat de Vic (UVIC). INSTICC is Member of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC).

Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers (full, short and posters) will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, under an ISBN reference and on CD-ROM support. RNSQ
